The main event of the club is the annual convention held in late July or early August in the Midwest.  Convention events include a show and sale of Sleepy Eye items only, seminars, an auction, reproduction display, business meeting, a banquet, and a commemorative.

The commemorative is a limited edition item that everyone registered for and attending the convention receives.

Each person attending the convention must be a member of Old Sleepy Eye Collectors' Club of America, Inc.
